Joanne Patterson

Tele-Psychiatric Care For Expectant Families, Children & Adolescents

Introduction

Dr. Patterson is a doctoral educated, nationally board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has over twenty years of nursing experience which includes obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Patterson received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University, her Masters of Science in Nursing Leadership from Emory University, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Brandman University.

While educated and board certified to treat children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental illness, Dr. Patterson's interests include women's mental health across the lifespan, ADHD/ADD, and the mental health of gifted/twice exceptional individuals. As a clinician, she believes that the most important aspect of care is listening to the client's unique story. Although medication management is a large part of her role, medicine is only prescribed when absolutely necessary.
