Welcome to the first step to a happier you. I don't treat labels; I'm a symptomologist. I specialize in treating low energy, poor concentration, low motivation, crying spells, being easily startled, crowd avoidance, nightmares, unstable mood, auditory and visual hallucination, aggression, Sleep disturbances (too much or too little), impulsiveness,mild to severe anxiousness and nervousness. My focus is on the whole person, treating them symptomatically, working closely with them. My mission is to guide my clients in taking charge of their mental health
As a Professor at the University of Memphis, I taught clinical psychiatry to undergraduate nursing students. In addition to this, I took part in an innovative and unique Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Residency program. This program was developed by Duke University School of Nursing and the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
This additional training and experience, further expanded my scope of practice of being a specialist in Veteran's diverse mental healthcare needs. I utilize my critical thinking and diagnostic skills, seeing the whole person, focusing on symptomatic treatment. I treat a variety of mental health disorders, medication management, and support individuals and their families.
