She has worked on award winning online series with MedCircle and National podcasts with Crimeonline, Nancy Grace and Comedy Cellar.  She has written for NewsWeek, Romper.com, Parents.com, DJBooth.com, PsychiatryOnline, PsychNews and Dr.Oz.com.  She teaches medical media courses to physicians and medical students at Columbia University, New York University and Harlem Hospital.

Education & Training
Dr. Joseph received her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry, cum laude, from Duke University, her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and her business degree from Columbia Business School. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Child Study Center at NYU Langone Medical Hospital and Bellevue Hospital.

 

Academic Appointments:
Dr. Joseph is a clinical assistant professor of Child and Adolescent psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center/NYU Child Study Center. Dr. Joseph teaches medical media related topics to undergraduates at NYU and to fellows in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Joseph also teaches medical media related topics to Columbia psychiatry residents.
